Streszczenie
This article includes issues related to the estimation of fatigue strength of structural elements subjected to the cyclic variables loads. The results of the assessment of the fatigue strength reserves of steel beams subjected to long-term operation of crane are presented. This evaluation was made in connection with the change in utility plant and replacement of cranes resulting in increasing their loads. The assessment was based on advanced numerical analysis of crane beams subjected to the fatigue, which enabled the detection of regions particularly dangerous, exposed on the possible damage. The results of numerical analysis have been fully confirmed during the examinations, as many parts were damaged in the places indicated in the calculations. The result of the work was to develop a program and repair project as well as strengthening of crane beams together with detailed guidelines for their operation.
