Streszczenie
The article describes the basic legal acts in Poland in the field of protection against the noise in the environment. Permissible noise levels associated with road and rail traffic and other activities, in areas with different purposes are described. The variations of the requirements that have taken place over the past years are also characterized. The permissible noise levels, defined by different acts, are compared. In addition, the basic acts associated with monitoring and management of noise pollution are presented.
